1. What Ora Does
Ora helps parents and carers manage school-related reminders, responsibilities, and schedules. Features include:
- Creating and organising reminders
- Adding children and personal schedules
- Optional sharing with other parents, carers or trusted adults
- Optional cloud sync (Plus users)
Ora is not a substitute for school communications and should be used only as a supportive tool.
2. Eligibility
To use Ora you must:
- Be at least 16 years old, and
- Have the legal right to enter into this agreement.
Parents or carers remain responsible for how they use the App and any data they input.
3. Your Account
Some features require an Ora account. You must:
- Provide accurate information
- Keep your login details secure
- Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without permission
You are responsible for all activity conducted under your account.
4. Plus Subscriptions
Ora offers optional paid features under the Ora Plus plan.
If you choose a subscription:
- Payment is charged to your App Store account
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal
- You can manage or cancel your subscription via your device’s App Store settings
If a subscription is cancelled, Plus features remain active until the end of the billing period.
5. Cloud Sync & Data Storage (Plus Users)
For Plus users, data may be securely stored in the cloud using Supabase.
We do not store photos or sensitive personal details.
We do not sell user data.
You may request deletion of your cloud-stored data at any time.

6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Ora for any unlawful or harmful purpose
- Attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the App
- Use the App in a way that interferes with others
- Upload or share any offensive, abusive, or misleading content
We may suspend or restrict access if these Terms are violated.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, design, and technology within Ora belongs to us or our licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use the App for its intended purpose.
You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the App without permission.
8. School or Organisation Content
Schools or organisations may provide information, but Ora is not responsible for:
- The accuracy of school information
- School timetables, messaging accuracy, or changes
- Any decisions made based on reminders in the App
Always refer to official school communications when needed.
9. Availability & Updates
We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee:
- The App will always be available
- That reminders will always send successfully
- That data will never be lost (especially for users not on cloud sync)
We may update or change the App at any time, including adding, removing, or modifying features.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- Ora is provided “as is”
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages
- We are not responsible for missed reminders, lost data, or scheduling errors
Nothing in these Terms limits your legal rights as a consumer in the UK.
11. Termination
You may stop using Ora at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
If your account is terminated, cloud-stored data may be deleted.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App means you accept the new Terms.
